An American ex-pat living in the UK, Shea works between London, LA and NYC as an interdisciplinary performing artist, educator, and Artistic Director of Indigo Arts Collective. She has a BFA in Theatre Performance, BA in Communications and minor in Dance from Tulane University, a MFA in Acting from East 15 Acting School, and a Masters in Contemporary Performance Practice from the University of East London. She recently completed a short course in Dramatic Writing at Oxford University, and is working towards her PhD at the University of East London.
Previously, Shea completed a student residency at Shakespeare's Globe where she played Lady Macbeth, and has been seen on Investigative Discovery Channel's Blood Relatives. Recent on-stage credits include off-West End runs at the Arcola and the Tristan Bates, as well as work with the Oxford Shakespeare Company and the New American Theatre, among others. Shea has also appeared in several independent films and shorts.
Her one woman show, By the Light of the Moon premièred and toured in 2019, appearing in the Hollywood Fringe Festival, off-off Broadway at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, and at the Clapham Fringe Festival in London. It appeared virtually in the Online Fringe Festival in May 2020 and is the recent winner of Best Solo Performance and Best Director at the Theatre Live Online Film Festival. By the Light of the Moon completed a successful run in the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and preparing for a brief off West-End at the Old Red Lion this autumn.
When she's not performing, Shea works for an innovation education company and as an Associate Artist with Project Phakama.
Favorite past times include hiking, yoga, coloring, and galavanting around the world.
